Is Suriya Sivakumar’s son Dev making his debut in films soon?

News has it that Tamil top star Suriya’s son Dev will soon make his debut in films. According to reports, the film will be produced by Suriya himself and will be directed by a newcomer who has impressed Suriya with his script. These speculations started after the official Twitter handle of Suriya’s production house posted a casting call for kids aged between 6 and 8. Reports reveal that the story is that of a kid a puppy and will be an emotional drama. However, these reports are yet to be confirmed by Suriya or Jyothika who always maintained that they kept their kids away from films. However, buzz in Tamil circles is that Suriya was mighty impressed with the subject and agreed to let his son Dev play a part in the film.

After father Sivakumar and sons Suriya and Karthi, Dev will be from the third generation of the family who will be stepping into Kollywood, if these reports are to go by. Suriya’s contemporary Vikram’s son has already entered films and will be making his debut with Varmaa which is the Tamil remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy. On the other hand, Vijay’s Sanjay has pursued studies in filmmaking in Canada and reports reveal that he is interested in directing film than donning an actor’s hat.

Going by the reports, looks like the next generation of the contemporary actors in Tamil cinema are gearing up for their careers in Kollywood.
